Session 3 by Jack
I am writing to summarize our group's view on lecture 3 topic "Develop and articulate ideas for describing leading change in an organization of your choice".
Target organization -- HSBC
Scenario:
A change is a must to HSBC, as maximizing the revenue is main target of a commercial banking. For recent years, the total profit of HSBC Global is increasing in a decreasing slope. Its annual report projected that in the coming future, they may face a risk of having negative increase in revenue. So, in order to consolidate its whole system, it is likely for them to have a restructure of bank branch network was also due to cost consideration.
What we expect after the change?
And, closing up unprofitable branches as well as cutting off the employees are good measures to help "save" the revenue indeed.
Hi Jack!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the experience of HSBC organisation change. In the article, you mentioned that the change is mainly to realise the "cost saving". Do you think it is successful after the implementation? Do you think there is any concerns or negative outcomes that may occur?
Thanks.
Ricky
Hi Jack,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the the ideas for describing leading change in an organization of your choice. I think you have talked about the reasons, ways and expecting result of the change of your organization. So is the change going on the way or just a plan? If the change of your organization is happened what is the result of the change, did the change offer something good to your organization? ( You don't have to answer my question if you feel it has nothing to do with the topic and feel free to give me suggestion. Thank you!!!)
