What Professional Development happens in your workplace? 

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT— The term “professional development” means a comprehensive, sustained, and intensive approach to improving teachers’ and principals’ effectiveness in raising student achievement.

"professional development refers to activities to enhance professional career growth". So I would like to set school as an example to illustrate the problem. As my secondary school, in the view of mine, there are several aspects about the professional development in my original school as follows.

• subjective motivations

teacher： The activities that teacher make efforts in order to improve their comprehensive quality and teaching ability. Such as do some continuing education or individual development like self-study on some computer education and using methods and application of some common teaching software, this kind of high-tech teaching methods.

student：AS a qualified student, completing what they should do in their study and in school is the best reward to school and teachers. Besides this, once some problems have been found, then make some proposition or recommendation to school or teacher, it will be useful for school to correct the unreasonable regulation and phenomena and make continuous progress. This will also create student a better studying environment. This is so-called “two birds with one stone”.

inside of school ：the school administrators will do not only update their skills but also towards the transformation of their roles as educational leaders;

• objective motivations

campus environment : Through afforestation, strengthening school infrastructure, places such as canteen,librarotory,library and some places like that. This will make student sufficient satisfied with the requirements for hardware facilities.

outside-government and community support：The  government should do some supporting things in such as in funds or policies to support and encourage school education enterprise.

  

What strategies does your organization have in place to encourage development, change and innovation?

One of the key issue is assisting administrators with planing, budgeting and implementation of a school-wide technology program, including a professional development program. the strategies metropolis are being implemented effectively to equip schools for the demand of a technological society. While in the back country  more emphasis needs to be placed on the training of learners and educators;there is urgency in need for redress in the area of technology in schools, leadership and commitment are needed to achieve this. The focus in the development of any strategy should be on the enhancement of the capacity of school administrators, school principals. If the management actions of the school principal are not supported by technology, the computer hardware and soft ware will disparately available to school management in school. Information technology is gradually becoming  affordable as costs come down and should be aggressive harnessed to support teaching and learning in schools.
